Marquez and Pedrosa top the standings on day 2 in Buriram
Marc Marquez, who turns 25 years old today, was the fastest man during the second day of the Thai test in Buriram, and the the only rider to drop into the 1’29” bracket, with a time of 1’29.969” on lap 91 of 97.
On a day again marked by sunny, hot weather conditions, the reigning MotoGP World Champion worked on the setup and aerodynamics of his RC213V, in addition to testing the new rear-tyre specs that Michelin brought to the test.
Marc’s teammate Dani Pedrosa ended just behind him, a mere 0.158” down, keeping a very strong pace over the day and even leading the standings for some time, while working on suspension, electronics, and tyres. As was the case yesterday, the final 15 minutes of the session were dedicated to practicing starts.
