The GP of Malaysia got dramatic as early as the first lap. Several pilots retired due to technical problems. Nico Rosberg fought like a wild cat again, however, had to retire with engine trouble as well. The weather was killing with the air temperature 37°C. The race turned out best for Renault, Fisichella in the first place, Fernando Alonso second, a double for the Mild Seven Renault F1 Racing team, J. Button came third.
